My quarantine morning routine

With many of us working from home for the past months, one of the biggest challenges most people are experiencing during the lockdown is staying productive.

If you feel like everything is taking longer to complete these days, you are not alone! I spend a good chunk of my time in the morning cooking, cleaning, washing, and playing with my little boy. And, if I’m being really honest, on most days I struggle to squeeze any actual work in. This is hard!

We are not going to be able to play all the roles and fulfill the needs of all the things that are demanding our attention the way we would like to. And that’s okay!

Here’s how my morning routine has changed since the lockdown.

We like to start our mornings with a delicious and nutritious yoghurt bowl topped with fresh fruits – it’s usually blueberries, bananas, goji berries, and chia seeds. A cup of coffee for me, then it’s playtime for my little boy while I frantically reply to emails, edit photos and schedule my content.

If there is one thing that the last couple of months have shown me, it’s that we need nature to stay sane. I have never been more grateful and happy to have the English countryside on our doorstep. And each morning we go for a long walk before Noah’s nap.

I usually wear something really comfortable, like this soft knit set from MandM Direct which is perfect to throw on if I’m running an errand or simply lounging around. While I do wish the trousers were a little shorter, I still wear it all the time and will definitely be stocking up on another colour soon.

Did you know? MandM Direct sells a variety of brands with discounted prices, so my jumper and trouser set was half price. I took advantage of their incredible all-year-round sales and also updated my gym kit – I got a new pair of Adidas trainers (£39.99 down from £154.99), a New Balance sports bra and a pair of Superdry gym leggings (only £19.99).

Now coming back to my quarantine morning routine and what has changed in the last couple of months. I have been undeniably living in loungewear since my kitchen table became my new desk.

I ordered some new Femme Luxe loungewear just before they announced the lockdown – a beautiful, figure-hugging green ribbed cropped loungewear set and a white high neck cropped loungewear set which is basically my favourite thing right now. Not only is everything very comfortable, but it’s also super-flattering, too.
