If you’re following me on social media, you know that Joules invited me on a press trip to Watergate Bay, Cornwall a couple of weeks ago to preview their SS16 collection and celebrate their first lifestyle partnership, with Watergate Bay Hotel.
There’s nothing more exciting than meeting the founders and the creative minds behind the brand and I really enjoyed discovering the history of Joules. Their colorful prints, together with their soft tailored, timeless pieces have always taken my fancy. My first purchase from Joules was when I moved to London, a pair of navy chinos that I still enjoy wearing them.
Staying at Watergate Bay Hotel
We stayed at Watergate Bay Hotel, a charming place on the stunning north Cornwall Coast. The chic and cozy room had a beautiful sea view and a cute little balcony. There was a small gym, three treatment rooms and a fantastic indoor pool, therefore a great choice for both families and young, active people. The sea views from The Living Space reminded me why that was the most visited UK coastal destination. Totally recommend it!

Surfing for the first time
I’ve always been fascinated by the ocean and wanted to learn to surf. Thanks to our amazing instructors at Watergate Bay Extreme Academy, I’ve finally learned how to catch a wave. The first lesson was fun, adrenalin-filled and tailored to suit our abilities. A fantastic experience I can’t wait to repeat!

Visiting Joules store in Padstow near Watergate Bay, Cornwall
On our second way we visited Joules store in Padstow, a cute little space on two floors, with a fantastic coastal interior design. We had a little wander around the shop, chatted to the friendly staff and previewed Joules Spring/Summer16 collection. Below you’ll find a selection of my favourite pieces, including a mustard rain coat and a blue embroidered blouse with tassel details.
We then headed down to The Seafood restaurant, opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Quite possibly the best seafood restaurant I’ve ever been to, so if you’re around you must book a table there.

All in all we spent the most wonderful 72 hours in Watergate Bay, Cornwall. Thank you Joules for having us!
