With just a couple of hours before London Fashion Week, I thought I’d share with you my top tips to reduce anxiety and calm your nerves before the hectic week.
While the butterflies may never go away completely, there are still some things you can do to help clear your head before London Fashion Week. And if you’re anything like me, you’re probably going to skip lunch or a night sleep to finish all the fashion week work.
There are a few things that you should do before that can help decrease your stress and ultimately the work overload.
- Schedule the most important tasks first. What are your priorities for this week? Today? Determine what they are and do those things first. Try to allocate an hour or two to deal with all your last minute requests and emails. You’ll thank me later.
- Take care of your body. Be conscious about what you eat and drink. Make sure you consume foods that will help your physical, mental and emotional being.
- Exercise and stay hydrated. Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water as dehydration can make you feel tired.
If you have time earlier in the day, a good workout can help you reduce overall stress for the rest of the day. A quick run and a few push-ups will do the trick. This should go without saying, and it seems silly to say, but go for comfortable active wear.
