Thoughts for the new year

Thoughts for the new year
It’s January 3rd. I’m not one for big New Year’s resolutions – life has its own plans, but one thing I am definitely going to be doing in the new year is be more positive and enjoy each day to the fullest.

I’ve had so many highlights in the past year (I rebranded my blog, turned 30, became an auntie again, worked with so many incredible brands and towards the end of the year we bought our dream house), but I’m the most grateful for my family and friends all being healthy and happy.

Buying a house was truly one of the greatest achievements of our lives and I was so excited to be able to share this journey with you all. 2018 is going to be filled with a ton more interior and lifestyle blog posts. I always want to make sure I’m creating more of the content you enjoy, so if there’s anything in particular you want me to write about drop me a line in the comment section below.

What did you achieve in 2017? Take a moment to celebrate what you’ve accomplished – no matter how small. I am all for being forward-thinking and focusing on the future – however, every so often, especially this time of the year, it’s really important to take a look back to see how far you’ve come.

‘Set a goal that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning.’

I feel very fortunate with what I’m doing now and I would certainly say that I have got my dream job, but this year I want to learn something new. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in interior design. Even as a kid, I’d rearrange my room regularly and wouldn’t allow my parents or sisters to move anything around without my consent.

Perusing magazines, pinning obsessively and watching home tours is what I like to do most. I don’t intend to pursue a career in interior design (I might be late to the game), but I would certainly like to feed my creativity and enhance my skills through an interior design course. I’ll keep you updated!

Happy New Year everyone and thank you for all your love and ongoing support. Let’s make 2018 a year to remember!
