Say goodbye to ‘blah’ hair days

If you’re one of those who have rarely dipped their toes in the hair colouring pool (me included), but are itching to take the ‘blah’ out of your hair, I’ve got the solution for you. For a quick and less drastic way to refresh your look, you really have to try a soft balayage.

For someone who has coloured her hair a handful of times this might come as no surprise, but I’m really into natural beauty (whether that has to do with hair or makeup). That being said, from time to time I really can’t go past the appeal of refreshing my natural colour. A soft balayage is a great way to bring life into your natural hair, has a more subtle look and is less damaging for your hair.

I visited Hershesons in Harvey Nichols last week, where the relaxed and low-key atmosphere made for a couple of hours of pure relaxation. Whether you’re in need of a complete makeover or quick trim, your Hershesons experience is guaranteed to be an indulgent one.

Both my hairdresser and I decided to go for a more natural, sun-kissed look and instead of a perfect fade, we kept a few ends a little darker to add dimension to my overall look. If, like me, you’re not sure which colour to ask for, a quick chat to your hairdresser will definitely help.

Not only you’ll be able to stretch out salon visits a little longer, but you’ll also look as if you’ve just returned from a Mediterranean holiday. What do you think of the balayage trend?
