Now, before you go on a shopping frenzy, I suggest going through your existing Fall wardrobe and sell (or even better donate to a charity) anything that doesn’t fit you any longer or that hasn’t been worn in the past year. I, personally give a lot away or sell them on Depop.
Shop the post:
Mint Velvet Ankle Boots – Mint Velvet Ruffled Midi Dress – Aspinal of London Mini Hat Box – Mint Velvet Camel Pea Coat – Next Gold Tone Abstract Drop Earrings – Astley Clarke Tigers Eye Floris Pendant Necklace
Then go online and see what styles and trends are in this season. I prefer to invest in classic, timeless pieces that will save me time and money in the long run – like a well-fitted coat, a pair of boots or a dress that I could wear for various occasions.
While there are plenty of clothing options for expectant mothers like me, sometimes you simply want to wear the rest of your non-maternity clothes. This beautiful camel pea coat by Mint Velvet, for example, will see me right through the third trimester and beyond thanks to its super-flattering fit.
Speaking of on-trend pieces – try to stick to a few trendy pieces each season to prevent impulse buys and overspending. Fall/Winter clothes can be more expensive so make sure you invest in the right pieces. When it comes to the finishing touches, I love mixing premium with low-cost jewelry – Next, for example, has the best earrings on the high street, and is always a good stop for affordable jewelry that appears a lot more expensive than they are.
Now that you’ve seen the key pieces I’ve invested in this season, I would love to hear what you bought for your Fall wardrobe!
