How to dress for work in Autumn

What better way to fight the autumnal blues than with a new workwear purchase? For most of us, myself included, the last thing we want to think about when getting ready for work in a crisp Fall morning is what to wear.

So I partnered with Next to bring you a few styling ideas that can easily elevate your 9-to-5 ensemble. The selected pieces from the new collection tick all the right boxes: fit, quality and price.

Dressing like a full-time professional – whether you’re a freelancer just like me, or have a more traditional office job doesn’t have to spell out b-o-r-i-n-g. In fact, you should get creative with your work looks and be a #girlboss type.

Checks in every form were spotted on most designer catwalk shows back in February and now everyone can buy into the trend across various high-street and luxury brands. This monochrome check print coat is by far the best purchase of the season and possibly the only cover-up that makes my petite frame justice. It’s easy to wear, warm and comes in at just £75 (need I say more?).

Call me old-fashioned, but there’s nothing I love more than pairing a crisp white shirt with a pair of black boot cut trousers. It’s a combination that will never go out of style, trust me!

Over the years, I purchased work shirts from various high-street and more premium brands but never came across such a high-quality, easy to iron and purse-friendly shirt that will stay crease-free all day. If you’re not convinced, scroll down to see close-up just how crisp this white shirt really is and snap one up before it’s too late.

A few words about the berry chain loafers

If you can’t afford the real deal – I’m talking about those Gucci pumps, these are a more affordable and equally as chic alternative. As always, such a hot-ticket item won’t stick around for long, meaning you need to get your hands on them now. Don’t say I didn’t tell you so!
