How to clash prints and colours like a Pro

If you tend to play it safe when choosing your outfits, I suggest you keep reading this article; step out of your comfort zone and try bold prints or colours instead. That can instantly transform a bland outfit into one that’s brimming with personality.

Don’t know where to start? Or you’re scared to fail miserably? No worries, I’ve been there, too.

If you’re a clashing-prints novice, try to stick to wear just one print and 2 colours that can be removed, as you can easily replace them if the final look isn’t working or doesn’t suit you. I’ve created my outfit around this super-soft cashmere knit from Boden (the best investment you can make this season). Many people shy away from colour as they think is not versatile and easy to wear, or in some cases, tacky. The trick is to make it blend seamlessly into your outfit. As soon as I got my hands on this knit I knew exactly that I would end up wearing it with this chic, suedette skirt from Dorothy Perkins – this also comes in a soft stone shade, so buy it before is all gone! Now that you’ve graduated from clashing colours, finish your outfit with leopard-print accessories and footwear.
