The first thing you should know is that classic jewellery is always a safe option and never goes out of style (it’s classic for a reason, right?).
Look at her – as you watch her getting ready for different occasions – work, party, dinner out – take note of each piece of jewellery she wears. Knowing what she wears and what she doesn’t will give you a solid head start. After all, if she never wears bracelets, there’s no point buying her one.
Ask for advice – sisters or best friends are a great source of information, especially if they are close in age and spend a lot of time together.
Avoid rings – unless you’re going to pop the question, I would advise to stay clear of rings as they’re too emotionally loaded. I mean there’s no such thing as friendship rings, right?
I’ve discovered Astley Clarke through The Apartment last year and I’ve been fond of their refined, yet easy-to-wear jewellery ever since. Need more help finding great jewellery gifts? Visit www.astleyclarke.com for more.
