During London’s Summer months, I try to eat outdoors as much as possible. The Radio Rooftop at ME has been a long-time favourite spot for brunch – the food is so good and the view is simply spectacular.
To celebrate their 10th anniversary, my sister and I were invited to sample their new brunch menu – served each Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Radio Rooftop is one of those hidden gems that more people than you’d like seem to know about, so make sure to book a table in advance and arrive early for a good spot. The best seats are on the terrace, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the London Eye, Big Ben or the Shard.
What’s on the menu: They keep things simple here, and it’s a very straightforward, easy-going brunch. After a few recommendations, my sister decided on the Buttermilk chicken with waffles and maple syrup (sadly they ran out of waffles, so the chef offered pancakes instead) and I on the poached eggs with avocado and salmon and huevos benedicos with truffled hollandaise. A real treat!
Their cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced (around £12-14). For those feeling creative, they also have a Bloody Mary bar where you can whip your own version of a classic. If you’re serious about eating and drinking, Radio Rooftop at ME London really is the place to be!
