The clue is the name, think New York comfort food at its finest, using the very best suppliers and ingredients. We’re talking Slow ‘N Low Pork Belly Ribs, Short Rib Tacos, Rib Eye Steak and Raw Kale & Chilli Salad.
It will probably surprise you that a restaurant set just off Regent’s Street is pretty affordable, but the quality of its offering won’t. We went for a late lunch midweek and I was quite frankly mesmerised by the boasting menu and the unusual mix of ingredients and flavours. For someone who eats mainly fish and seafood, Dirty Bones was a new territory for me.
The food: we shared a small plate of delicious Padron Peppers and Cheeseburger Dumplings (housemade gyoza dumplings stuffed with burger mince and melted cheese) to start, before indulging in a mouth-watering flat iron steak, served with burnt rosemary and their signature steak glaze. On the side we ordered cheese truffle fries and oozing balls of mac ‘n’ cheese, overly rich and creamy. Well worth the calories overload if you’d ask me!
If you still have space (we didn’t), then finish with a peanut butter cookie cup – we’re bookmarking this for our next visit just to indulge in their scrumptious desserts!
