Pregnancy doesn't have to mean nine months spent wearing leggings and oversized jumpers - there are so many maternity and non-maternity options right now that are guaranteed to flatter your beautiful new shape. Whether you're carrying high or low (like me!) or big all over - styling your pregnancy bump without losing style points is easy, trust me! With only one week away from my third trimester (where did the time go?), I decided to share with you 5 styling ideas that have seen me and my growing bump through the past 7 months, without investing in a whole new wardrobe. Size up! This is a no-brainer really, but if you are committed to buying most of your pregnancy wardrobe in non-maternity styles this is the easiest route. Because I'm carrying low, I had to invest in a few pairs of maternity jeans (Topshop is the winning ticket when it comes to maternity jeans, just have a look for yourself) because unlike regular denim these styles are softer on the waistline.
Up until recently, it was all about the streamlined elegance of Adidas' Stan Smith but, skip to 2018 the chunky trainers trend is sweeping through the fashion pack. It all started with Balenciaga's Triple S - a big hit for the brand and one of the most popular luxury sneakers of the last year. Throughout the 80's and 90's, this style of trainer was worn exclusively by dads (cue the 'ugly' dad trainer name) and, as such, became the epitome of uncool. They now offer a fresh new change from the popular minimalism that prevailed before. Because they look rather different from the slim, elegant styles we're used to wearing, the opinions on the chunky trainer might be a little divisive.
With the festive season fast approaching, now is the perfect time to buy something significant for that special person in your life. I think Astley Clarke's jewellery is hard to beat when it comes to their extensive selection of products, across all prices and finishes. However, for something that is more purse-friendly I love Asos and & Other Stories for beautiful, trend-led pieces that will last more than just one season. This post was inspired by the recent launch of Astley Clarke's Icon Nova collection - which I had the pleasure to wear during this shoot. The new 14kt rose gold jewellery collection is incredibly elegant and precious (as you'd expect) and inspired by astral explosions frozen in time.
Dark mornings and cold nights are upon us - whether we like it or not, so it's time to start planning our Fall wardrobe. Now, before you go on a shopping frenzy, I suggest going through your existing wardrobe and sell (or even better donate to a charity) anything that doesn't fit you any longer or that hasn't been worn in the past year. I, personally give a lot away or sell them on Depop. Then go online and see what styles and trends are in this season. I prefer to invest in classic, timeless pieces that will save me time and money in the long run - like a well-fitted coat, a pair of boots or a dress that I could wear for various occasions.
Easy to wear, incredibly chic and comfortable, a maxi dress will always add effortless style to your wardrobe. And with so many styles to choose from on the high street, there has never been a better time to invest in this timeless trend. Whether you're searching for the perfect wedding guest dress, or just want to update your wardrobe in preparation for that longed-for holiday, I'm here to help you find this season's best buys. A maxi dress is a simple solution to that early morning 'what do I wear today?' panic, thanks to its versatility. And with a few styling tricks - such as layering a polo neck or throwing on a warm knit jumper and pairing with some ankle boots, this particular style can be transformed into an Autumn-ready ensemble in seconds.
