Take a peek inside my bedroom

Around this time last year, we were picking up the keys to our new home - a truly momentous occasion, full of emotions and excitement as we moved away from all the stress and involvement of buying a property. Fast forward 12 months, we have just finished decorating our bedroom and the nursery for the baby's imminent arrival. One lesson I have learned throughout this journey is to have patience - decorating a home is like a never-ending love story. Every house tells a different story and every chapter of our life brings a fresh perspective. It can be daunting and slightly frustrating when an entire house appears to be entirely redecorated in the span of one TV show, but it's very likely that the owner of the house you admire on Instagram took a long time to acquire that look too (or had their decorator shop for them to speed things up). I have had no choice but to learn to be patient and jump on the slow decorating bandwagon, even if I occasionally find it very hard. Our bedroom is a work in progress - we currently don't have the time and the resources to make all the necessary changes to acquire the final look (a hybrid of modern and traditional), but it's slowly coming together.

5 ways to style your pregnancy bump

Pregnancy doesn't have to mean nine months spent wearing leggings and oversized jumpers - there are so many maternity and non-maternity options right now that are guaranteed to flatter your beautiful new shape. Whether you're carrying high or low (like me!) or big all over - styling your pregnancy bump without losing style points is easy, trust me! With only one week away from my third trimester (where did the time go?), I decided to share with you 5 styling ideas that have seen me and my growing bump through the past 7 months, without investing in a whole new wardrobe.  Size up! This is a no-brainer really, but if you are committed to buying most of your pregnancy wardrobe in non-maternity styles this is the easiest route. Because I'm carrying low, I had to invest in a few pairs of maternity jeans (Topshop is the winning ticket when it comes to maternity jeans, just have a look for yourself) because unlike regular denim these styles are softer on the waistline.

Chunky trainers – the best new buys

Up until recently, it was all about the streamlined elegance of Adidas' Stan Smith but, skip to 2018 the chunky trainers trend is sweeping through the fashion pack. It all started with Balenciaga's Triple S - a big hit for the brand and one of the most popular luxury sneakers of the last year. Throughout the 80's and 90's, this style of trainer was worn exclusively by dads (cue the 'ugly' dad trainer name) and, as such, became the epitome of uncool. They now offer a fresh new change from the popular minimalism that prevailed before. Because they look rather different from the slim, elegant styles we're used to wearing, the opinions on the chunky trainer might be a little divisive.

What no one tells you about being pregnant (but should!)

The moment you announce that you're pregnant, everyone from your mother, grandmother, aunts, and friends (sometimes even strangers on the bus) seem very eager to share totally unasked for advice and horror labor stories with you. 'Should you really be eating that/drinking that/be careful with that/make sure you don't do that' - I could write a book about it, no doubt!  But there are actually are a few tips that expectant mothers really do need to hear - and chances are they were left out in the 'becoming a mummy' manual. Pregnancy is hard - and it's ok not to love it. Don't get me wrong, being pregnant is the most beautiful experience imaginable - you're creating a mini version of you and your partner. Isn't that incredible? But it's ok not to love everything that comes along with growing your baby for nine months - constant bathroom breaks, terrible leg cramps, sore breasts etc.

I have scoured the streets of the city to bring you the best London coffee spots you'll want to Instagram right now. Don't get me wrong - a perfectly crafted cappuccino is a must, but equally as important, at least to me, is the aesthetic. It's downright essential if you spend a lot of time in a place, right? I've made my way through a majority of London's coffee spots, so I'm sharing my favourite 7 that not only offer an amazing selection of coffees, food, and pastries but are also beautifully decorated. That's an Instagram win-win.

With the festive season fast approaching, now is the perfect time to buy something significant for that special person in your life. I think Astley Clarke's jewellery is hard to beat when it comes to their extensive selection of products, across all prices and finishes. However, for something that is more purse-friendly I love Asos and & Other Stories for beautiful, trend-led pieces that will last more than just one season. This post was inspired by the recent launch of Astley Clarke's Icon Nova collection - which I had the pleasure to wear during this shoot. The new 14kt rose gold jewellery collection is incredibly elegant and precious (as you'd expect) and inspired by astral explosions frozen in time.
